Bio:

Erin Harvell is the Manager of Faculty Affairs and Faculty Development Office Operations at Methodist University’s Cape Fear Valley Health Campus, where she manages efforts to support and advance faculty success. With over a decade of experience in academic operations, educator development, and curriculum leadership, she brings a deep understanding of the systems and strategies that foster faculty growth and institutional excellence. In her current role, Erin oversees faculty data systems, manages faculty performance assessment , and coordinates development programs that strengthen teaching, scholarship, and professional advancement. She is also pursuing her Doctor of Education in Professional Leadership at Converse University, with research focused on institutional legitimacy in South Carolina’s public education system, viewed through rhetorical discourse. Her work reflects a strong commitment to cultivating environments where faculty thrive and contribute meaningfully to the mission of academic medicine.

Harvell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Music from Erskine College in 2016 and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Clemson University in 2017. She expects to complete her Ed.D. in 2026.
