Dr. Sahar Ajabshir

Bio:

Dr. Ajabshir is an Associate Professor at Methodist University Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine. Her academic interests include curricula and course design, implementation, and evaluation. Her teaching pedagogy incorporates a variety of learning modalities, including interactive lectures, case-based learning, problem-based learning, team-based learning, and the flipped classroom. Prior to joining Methodist University, Dr. Ajabshir served as an Associate Professor, Course Director, and Nutrition Education Thread Leader at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine where she led courses for first, third-, and fourth-year medical students in the MD program. Dr. Ajabshir`s research focuses on the diagnosis and management of diet-related chronic conditions. She has a distinguished record of service at the college, university, and national levels.
