Forward Together: Student Accounts

Horner Administration Building

Room & Board Charges

Residential students’ room and board charges will be prorated based on their return dates. Net reductions in these charges will be reflected in students’ accounts in about one month from their arrival date.

Ordering Books/Bookslips

MU has a great partnership with Follett, the company affiliated with our physical and online bookstore. Students have been able to order their books, supplies and soft goods online for some time.

During this pandemic, with everyone needing to be flexible and adapt, there have been significant increases in students ordering their books online. The majority of students do this, in fact, and a high percentage of students have already ordered for this spring.

Students are able to order their books, using a credit card or their bookslips, if they have them, (provided they have cleared the Student Accounts Office and been approved for a bookslip) and have their books shipped directly to their homes. Please contact studentaccounts@methodist.edu if you have any questions about bookslips.

While every student may not prefer to order books online, it is something we certainly encourage right away to ensure materials are delivered before classes start.

Office Appointments

Contacting the Office of Student Accounts via telephone or email is encouraged. Masks are required by faculty, staff, students, and visitors when visiting the office and must be worn while inside the Horner Administration Building. In order to maintain capacity guidelines, only the student and one (1) parent/guardian will be allowed with an associate during visitation to the office. We understand this is an exciting time for your family; however, we are required to maintain an appropriate capacity in our office in accordance with federal, state, and university guidelines.

Please download the MyMobile CheckIn App prior to arriving on campus. This will allow you to check into our electronic queueing system. Please be sure to enter your mobile number when checking in through the app, as our associates will contact you when they are available to assist you. This will aid in our building where social distancing is limited.

Maximum capacity guidelines for spaces have been developed. Prominent signs communicate space usage policies, proper distancing for those standing in lines and one-way traffic patterns where necessary.
