Monarchs, it’s time to grab your green and gold and get ready for a weekend filled with celebration and nostalgia.

Methodist University is hosting its annual Homecoming Friday, Oct. 21 through Sunday, Oct. 23. This year’s Homecoming will feel much different compared to the previous two years (cancellation in 2020 and soft relaunch in 2021 due to the pandemic).

“This feels like we’re really back,” said Kirbie Dockery, senior director of advancement services and prospect research. “Homecoming is one of the best weekends of the year. It’s a chance for us to show our school spirit and bring everyone back together. We want to welcome all of our alumni back to reconnect with classmates and relive their glory days.”

Registration is officially open for Homecoming, allowing you to sign-up or purchase tickets for the weekend’s events ahead of time. The registration page also allows the MU community to purchase the official 2022 Methodist University Homecoming t-shirt.

Football huddle“Methodist University has changed so much from the new names of buildings to the new sports facilities to the new amenities. This is a great chance for alumni to see what current students are able to experience on campus while reflecting how their experiences are different,” said Dr. Mica Mitchell ’01, president of the MU Alumni Association and assistant professor of physical therapy. “You can encourage the next generation of Methodist University alumni by connecting with current students that may share your major or your job.”
