As temperatures rise, so does the excitement of summer at Methodist University. The campus is preparing to welcome hundreds of youth for its annual summer camps. From athletics to academic enrichment, this year’s offerings continue to reflect MU’s commitment to combining learning with leadership.
Dave Eavenson, vice president and director of athletics, said the start of summer camp season is an exciting time of year.
“Our coaches, staff and student-athletes thoroughly enjoy hosting youth campers,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity to teach fundamentals, sportsmanship, and the core values we emphasize at Methodist.”

The camps span a wide range of interests – from football and basketball to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), and beyond. Some athletic programs will also welcome back MU alumni as camp instructors, giving them the chance to build connections across generations of Monarchs.
