Thank you for your interest in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at Methodist University! We are excited that you are considering taking the next step toward a rewarding career in nursing.

Applications for the Fall 2027 BSN cohort will be accepted during the following dates:

  • Application Opens: November 1, 2026
  • Application Deadline: January 31, 2027

Steps to Apply

Step 1: Meet with Your Academic Advisor

Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to review your academic progress and determine your readiness to apply to the BSN program.

Transfer and Prospective Students: If you are a transfer student who has not yet been assigned an academic advisor, or a prospective student who has not applied to Methodist University, please contact [email protected] or 910.630.7578 for assistance.

Step 2: Attend a Nursing Information Session

Attend at least one Nursing Information Session to learn more about the BSN program, admission requirements, and application process.

Step 3: Complete the ATI TEAS Entrance Exam

Take the ATI TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills), a standardized entrance exam used to assess academic readiness for nursing school.

Applicants must earn a minimum overall score of 58.7% and may take the exam up to two times during each application cycle.

Step 4: Submit Your Nursing Application

Complete and submit the supplemental BSN program application no later than January 31, 2027. Please note that this link will be live beginning November 1, 2026.

Be sure that all required application materials, including ATI TEAS scores, are submitted by the deadline.

What Happens After You Apply?

Application Review & Interviews

Following the application deadline, the Nursing Admissions Committee will review completed applications and establish interview dates.

Applicants will be notified of their individual interview dates and times by the end of February through their Methodist University student email accounts.

Admission Decisions

The Admissions Committee aims to notify all applicants of their admission status before early registration begins in March.

Conditional Acceptance & Orientation

Students who receive conditional acceptance into the BSN program will be required to attend an orientation session near the end of the spring semester.

During this session, students will receive important information and instructions regarding:

  • Immunization requirements
  • Criminal background checks
  • Drug screening
  • CPR certification requirements
  • Required health forms and documentation
