Graduation Rate

Standard A.4.2, Publication of Program Outcomes: The total number of graduates from the Methodist University Doctor of Occupational Therapy program during the four-year period 2023-26 (most current) was 95, with an overall graduation rate of 98%.

Reflects students graduating according to the published program length, per ACOTE graduation rate reporting standards. Students who withdrew or did not graduate with their entering cohort for reasons other than academic performance are excluded from the graduating count: 1 in 2026, 2 in 2025, 2 in 2024, 1 in 2023.

NBCOT® Exam Pass Rate

Standard A.6.4: New Graduate (NG) results on the NBCOT® Certification Examination, candidates testing within one year of graduation, regardless of number of attempts. ACOTE requires an average pass rate of 80% or higher over the three most recent calendar years; a program may extend to include more years only if fewer than 25 test takers are recorded across those three years, up to a maximum of five years or until 25 test takers is reached. Methodist University’s three most recent years (2023-25) already total 61 test takers, well above the 25 minimum, so only that three-year window is required for compliance. All four available years are shown below for full transparency.

NG candidates who tested and failed in a given year but retained NG eligibility into the following year and did not retest are counted in the year they tested. Candidates who retained NG status into the following year without testing, or who failed and still had NG status, are reported in the following year’s data per ACOTE Standard A.6.4.
