The Department of Defense (DoD) Tuition Assistance (TA) program provides financial assistance to Service members for voluntary off-duty education programs in support of professional and personal self-development goals. TA is available for courses offered in the classroom or by distance learning and are part of an approved academic degree or certificate program. Students seeking to use TA are responsible for ensuring they meet eligibility requirements prior to applying for TA.  Service members should contact their Education Service Office if they have questions concerning their eligibility for TA. The ArmyIgnitED is a website designed to allow soldiers to request Tuition Assistance (TA) funds. Army Tuition Assistance is a source of funding opportunity that is unique to soldiers while they serve in the Army. Soldiers who intend to use TA must create an account. Air Force Military Tuition Assistance

The Military Tuition Assistance (MilTA) Program provides financial assistance for voluntary off-duty education programs in support of an Airman and Guardian’s professional and personal self-development goals leading to an undergraduate or graduate degree. You must apply for MilTA online using the Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC) and/or contact your local Education Services Center.

Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy Tuition Assistance

Tuition Assistance (TA) is a Navy’s primary financial assistance programs for voluntary education. They provide funding to eligible active-duty members for tuition costs of courses taken in an off-duty status at a college, university, or vocational/technical institution, whose regional or national accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
