Getting Started with Research

Topics covered in this session will include identifying key words, how to develop a search strategy, using Boolean logic, how to use keywords to do an effective search, how to navigate the library catalog, and how to navigate a general library database. This can also be tailored to a specific topic or discipline, if desired.

Subject-Specific Instruction

Have a research project? Let our librarians show you what resources are available specifically for that discipline and how to effectively search and navigate them. We can also go over any specific resources you may want your students to know. This session will include how to search the library catalog, databases, how to request materials through Interlibrary Loan, how to use the citation features in the database.
