We anticipate welcoming a small, close-knit class of approximately 64 students. The class size ensures you’ll receive personalized attention and plenty of support from faculty and peers alike!

The Methodist University Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine (MU CFVH) does not have required prerequisites. A list of suggested coursework and experiences is available for your review. We welcome a diverse array of applicant academic backgrounds and encourage applicants to submit courses and experiences outside of this list.

Unique to MUCFV, our medical students will conduct 20 hours of service learning annually, for a total of 80 hours across the four-year curriculum. You’ll have the chance to actively engage with the community, apply your medical knowledge, and tackle real-world challenges through projects that make a lasting impact.

Every student in the first two entering classes of the Methodist University Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine will receive a total of $40,000 in tuition remission toward the cost of their medical education. Additional scholarships are available for residents of eastern and southeastern North Carolina who meet the criteria.
