Hello from the Department of Housing and Residence Life at Methodist University!

We are delighted to welcome you to campus in a few weeks. This message contains important information regarding move-in weekend, so please read carefully.

Move-In Schedule

New students, including new transfer students, should plan to arrive on campus on Friday, August 12 between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Start your check-in process in the Matthews Ministry Center. The New Student Orientation (NSO) schedules for you and your families are online.

Returning students may arrive on Saturday or Sunday, August 13 and 14 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. You will proceed directly to your residence hall to check in.

Football players may check in on August 9 from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Please consult your coach for more information on the schedule that day.

COVID Protocols

At this time, no testing will take place for arrival to campus. If that changes, information will be shared as early as possible. Your flexibility as we work to keep all Monarchs safe is appreciated.

What to Bring

As in past years, students may rent bed extenders, lofts, microwave-fridges, TVs, and other room essentials by visiting Dorms Direct.

Room Assignments & Housing Agreement

Your myMUPortal has the most up-to-date information on your housing assignment and roommates. Please visit your individual housing portal by following these steps:

  1. myMUPortal, sign in
  2. Student Life tab
  3. Go to My Housing
  4. Go to My Housing (twice)

A new window will open with your specific information.

If you have not already done so, please sign your Housing Agreement, which you can find by following the steps above.
