Methodist University has engaged, enriched, and empowered students for over 50 years. One of many on-campus student employment organizations, the Monarch Student Marketing Agency provides experiential learning opportunities by working with local organizations on actual strategic marketing initiatives. Students majoring in marketing, communications, graphic design, and other areas can apply for the positions listed below. Here, students share their experiences.

Student Positions
The Monarch Student Marketing Agency (MSMA) offers students hands-on experience through real client projects in a collaborative, agency-style environment. Positions span content and digital marketing, design, sales and client development, and cross-functional marketing support.
The Monarch Student Marketing Agency hires students for part-time positions each semester studying in Graphic Design, Communication & Media, Marketing, and related fields. Students are allowed to work up to 10 hours per week. Current positions of employment are listed below.

Content & Digital
Content Lead
Leads content strategy and development for MSMA client projects, creating and refining content across social media, websites, blogs, and other digital platforms. This working leadership role also guides student contributors, coordinates content planning, and helps ensure consistency in brand voice, messaging, and quality.
Digital Content Assistant
Supports the creation of written and visual content for MSMA clients across social media, websites, blogs, and other digital platforms. Students collaborate with Agency team members to develop engaging, on-brand content while gaining hands-on experience in digital storytelling, content creation, and campaign execution.
Social & Digital Media Coordinator
Develops and executes social and digital media initiatives for MSMA clients, including content creation, scheduling, campaign support, and performance monitoring. Students gain practical experience in social media strategy, digital content, analytics, and managing client brands across multiple platforms.
Graphic Designer
Creates visual content for MSMA client projects, including brand identity elements, print materials, social media graphics, and digital campaign assets. Students work collaboratively with the Agency team and clients while building a professional portfolio of real-world design work.
Marketing & Client Development
Sales Manager
Leads MSMA sales and business development efforts while actively participating in client outreach and relationship management. This working leadership role manages sales pipelines and CRM activity, supports client acquisition, and provides guidance to Marketing & Sales Associates.
Marketing & Sales Associate
Works with local businesses, Agency team members, and industry partners to support sales, client relationships, and marketing initiatives. Students gain hands-on experience in prospecting, CRM management, account support, professional communication, and digital marketing.
Cross-Functional Marketing
Marketing Operations Assistant
Provides flexible, cross-functional support across MSMA client projects and campaigns. Students gain broad exposure to marketing research, content creation, social media, campaign execution, website updates, and client support while collaborating with different areas of the Agency.
