About the Kaplan Entrance Test
Kaplan’s Admission Test is a tool to determine if students have the academic skills necessary to perform effectively in a school of nursing. The Admission Test is a 91-question, multiple-choice test that evaluates the basic reading, math, writing and science skills of students seeking entry into a nursing program leading to NCLEX licensure. Copies are available for individual purchase online through sites such as Amazon and Barnes and Noble and may be available for check out at the Davis Memorial Library or your local library. Other study guide options include TEAS and HESI test prep books.
Methodist University’s Pre-Licensure Nursing Program requires an overall score of 65 on the Kaplan Admission Test. Scores are valid for three (3) years from the date taken. All scores must be on file with the Nursing Department by the deadline date of January 31 to be considered with your application packet.
