Mission

The mission of the Controller’s Office at Methodist University is to properly manage the overall accounting operations of the University. We strive to promote fiscal responsibility, accountability, and regulatory compliance with laws and regulations by

  • accounting for resources received and used in an efficient and effective way;
  • ensuring University compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and relevant federal, state and other regulatory guidelines;
  • maintaining a sound and effective internal control environment to ensure operations are carried out in accordance with management’s directives;
  • providing timely, accurate, and useful information to administration, management, and outside parties;
  • assisting faculty and staff in understanding the financial operations, policies, and procedures of the University.

The Controller’s Office is located in the Horner Administration Building and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
